Under the hypothesis that the terrestrial planet material was initially restricted to a narrow annulus, we show that all four
terrestrial planets can be reproduced in dynamical models. In this scenario, Mercury and Mars are planets whose growth was quenched by ejection from the Earth-Venus region. This model also naturally matches the low final eccentricities of the planets, and the short accumulation timescales inferred from Hafnium-Tungsten studies.
