A high-dispersion search for radial velocity variations in HD 26676 suggests that it is unlikely that this 6 mag late B star is a close binary. This conclusion is of interest because a faint radio source has been found to have a position coincident with this star, and all previously identified radio stars are radio and optical variables and/or binaries. Thus it is possible that the object may represent a new class of radio star. The treatment of the radial velocity data is described, the existence of a prominent reflection nebula surrounding the star is noted, and the reduction of the size of the radio error box is considered.
