Spectroscopic observations of the Fairall objects F-9, F-51 and the F-44
system have been obtained. Photoelectric (UBVJHKL) observations have
also been made of F-9 and F-51 both of which are Type 1 Seyfert
galaxies. The nucleus of F-9 exhibits the extremely broad Balmer
emission lines and blue colors associated with a QSO.
