A list of the positions of more than 200 molecular band heads for pure S stars is presented. Attention is given to bands of singlet and triplet ZrO transitions, as well as to YO, LaO, and CeO bands. It is found that the balance of carbon- and oxygen-bearing molecules depends to a large extent upon the abundances of SiO, H2O, CS, HCN, and C2H2, and that peak strengths occur at different C/O ratios. Dissociation equilibrium calculations are used in the computation of column densities.
