We analyze the inner regions of the density profiles from a large sample (thousands) of halos in the Millennium simulation. We determine the mean density slope, and we examine halo to halo scatter. Potential causes for departure from a universal shape at small scales are explored. We discuss the cosmological implications of our results with respect to observational measures of halo profiles.
