A microcomputer-based system is presented which provides an inexpensive (under $10,000) means of automated reduction of astronomical spectra. The microcomputer is equipped with 64-K bites of random access memory, two 8-inch floppy disk drives, a 16-bit A/D converter, a variable print denstiy dot-matrix printer, a processor control interface, and a video terminal. Radial velocities and equivalent widths derived using the system are found to be in excellent agreement with those measured by other methods. The use of the microcomputer results in a net savings of 50 to 75% of the time formerly spent in data analysis.
