Scientific paper

Spaceborne cryogenically cooled infrared telescope systems are optically
sensitive to particulate contamination along the line of sight. Methods
of cleaning and handling flight instrumentation have been developed at
AFGL and used on the Infrared Celestial Survey Program. These procedures
are described in detail and flight results are presented.
