A sample consisting of 30 radio-quiet QSOs and 10 other objects suspected of having upturned radio spectra has been observed at a wavelength of 3.3 mm (nominal observing frequency, 90.0 GHz) in order to test the hypothesis that the radio spectra of some QSOs can be detected only at millimeter wavelengths because of self-absorption. No bona fide radio-quiet QSOs were detected, but three other objects already known to be radio sources were found to have unusual millimeter-wavelength spectra. In addition, a 30% increase in the flux from PKS 0735+178 was observed in apparent coincidence with a previously reported optical variation. It is concluded that there is no evidence for upturned millimeter spectra in radio-quiet QSOs and that optical and radio luminosity are probably independent variables in the QSO distribution.
