The precise positions of 18 minor planets are given. The reduction procedure applied the method of dependences using six reference stars to photographic observations obtained during March 1976 - June 1977. The 18 minor planets are characterized as 12 bright asteroids from the list of objects adopted by the Institute of Theoretical Astronomy in Leningrad for the improvement of star positions; 4 asteroids from the critical list of minor planets published in the Circular No. 5 of IAU Commission 20; 1952 1951JC, an asteroid whose ephemerides were taken from the Minor Planets Circulars published in Cincinnati; and 197 Arete, for the purpose of determining the mass of 4 Vesta. Data for each asteroid include the order number of the position, the epoch in UT, and the topocentric right ascension and declination at 1950.0.
