An observational program to determine differences of magnitude in
southern visual double stars is being carried out at La Plata
Observatory, with the Focal Grating Photometer attached to the 43 cm
aperture, 906 cm focal length refractor. Δm's for 90 pairs and
the comparison of our system with those of other authors are given.
