Interferometric H-alpha observations of the optical supernova remnants (SNR) CTB1, HB3 and OA184 have been made with a high contrast Fabry-Perot etalon and a contact image converter. Systematic expansion velocities of the SNR's have been estimated. The authors' previous investigations of the kinematics of old optical SNRs are summarized; for some of the nebulae new data have been obtained concerning their faint high-velocity filaments. The evolutionary sequence of optical SNRs in a cloudy interstellar medium is discussed. The mean initial energy is calculated from the expansion velocity and density of the cloudy component to be (3.5 plus or minus 1.5) x 10 to the 50th erg. The rate of Galactic supernova outbursts is discussed.
