The first successful observations with an optical long baseline interferometer of a supergiant in the Galactic center will be presented. GCIRS 7 is resolved by the VLTI baselines at 2 and 10microns. Its interaction with its particular environment can be studied. The unique L-band capabilities of the Keck interferometer promise to give further insights in the life of a star under influence of a supermassive black hole.
