A 1.2-m diameter f-4.58 liquid mirror telescope (LMT) has been built on the campus of Laval University and operated every clear night during two months in the summer of 1987. A 1-m diameter f-4.7 LMT was operated during the summer and fall of 1986. Almost 300 hours of data on film were obtained. The quality of the data are evaluated and discussed. The best images have 2 arcsec FWHM, which is compatible with the best seeing expected at a sea-level site. The telescope performed quite satisfactorily, especially considering the extreme simplicity of the setup.
