Satellite images of surfaces of planets like the Earth are influenced by
light scattering in the overlying atmosphere. Radiative transfer
computations may be performed to correct the images for this atmospheric
influence. Several approximative and exact radiative transfer methods
are presented that can be used for this purpose.
