The astrometric processing of astronegatives obtained onboard the
spacecraft is considered. The star-identification procedure is automated
by comparing the transformed measured rectangular coordinates of star
images on the astronegative with star coordinates available in catalogs.
This approach can be used for spacecraft-attitude determinations.
