The SU(4) symmetric version of N = 4, d = 4 Poincare supergravity is
constructed geometrically. The underlying gauge algebra is a synthesis
of a modified orthosymplectic algebra and the SU(1, 1)/U(1) sigma-model
structure of the scalar fields. The group manifold approach is used to
gauge this algebra.
