A dynamical model has been developed which accounts for variations in the motion of the jets of SS 433, including apsidal motion and secular effects on the orbital period. For the apsidal motion, a period of the order of 150 years is found. It appears that the companion of the supergiant SS 433 has a mass that may approach that of SS 433 itself. Data suggest that SS 433 rotates somewhat slower than synchronously and is more centrally condensed than would be expected. The parameters of the dynamical model based on 595 photometrically determined redshifts spanning nearly eight years are presented along with the best estimates for secular changes in the orbit period, the precessional period, and the cone angle. It is found that departures from periodic motion are to be expected in any binary with mass loss and makeup similar to that of SS 433.
