Molecular dissociation equilibria have been determined for model atmospheres of DA and non-DA white dwarfs. Elemental abundances have been obtained for effective temperatures ranging from 5500-20,000 K. It is found that He2(+) and HeH(+) are the most abundant molecules in the atmospheres of non-DA white dwarfs and that H2 and H2(+) are the most abundant molecules in DA white dwarfs.
