The authors present subarcsecond-resolution VLA observations at wavelengths of 6, 2, and 1.3 cm of 16 core-dominated quasars and active galactic nuclei. They have detected a wide variety of structures, including one-sided jets, short extensions to the cores, which may indicate the presence of jets, and secondary components, which may be hotspots and/or the brighter parts of lobes. The authors discuss some of the implications of their observations for current unifying scenarios for core-dominated and lobe-dominated sources.
