The Repsold meridian instrument was produced in Germany in 1880. This telescope was ordered by the Navy Astronomical Observatory in 1879. The author obtained the document with which the Navy Astronomical Observatory placed an order through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. One pair of Shuushingi were ordered with the main body of Repsold meridian instrument.
