A complete and up-to-date catalog of 29 optically known galactic supernova remnants (SNRs) and 95 suspected galactic SNRs selected from a catalog of radio SNRs is presented. Recently obtained or improved data are provided for 11 optically known SNRs, including G53.6-2.2 = 3C 400.2, G130.7+3.1 = 3C 58 = SN 1181, G260.4-3.4 = Pup A, G320.4-1.0 = MSH 15-52 = RCW 89, and G327.6+14.5 = PKS 1459-41 = SN 1006 (Lupus). It is suggested that the four radio sources G74.8+0.6, G78.2+2.1, G282.4-1.8, and G339.2-0.4 are probably not SNRs. The dependence of frequency of identification on galactic longitude is examined, along with the frequency of Crab-like SNRs and the morphology of the SNRs. It is shown that the data are probably consistent with an interval of 50 + or - 25 yr between galactic supernova explosions and a production rate of one galactic pulsar approximately every 150 yr.
