The considered investigation represents a continuation of calculations reported by Cole and Deupree (1980). One of the new features of the obtained results is the decreasing efficiency of convection which makes it possible to reach higher temperatures than the initial input allowed. A modification of assumption is considered, taking into account the equation of state, the nuclear reaction rates, neutrino emission rates, thermal conductivity, gravitational acceleration, the outer boundary condition, and composition transport and variation. The transition from the quiescent phase of the calculations to the violent phase is examined. The discussed treatment is regarded as an advance over that of previous studies because the time dependent nature is determined by events in the calculations, not by a priori assumptions. It is found that nondisruptive mass loss should be possible during the core helium flash.
