Results of a 5 year monitoring program with the East-West arm of the Northern Cross (Bologna) at 408 MHz are given. They concern 114 extragalactic radiosources measured approximately once a month. We find 44 radiosources variable or possibly variable at low frequencies. Among these sources, 8 belong to a homogeneous sample of 32 small angular diameter radiosources, selected on the basis of scintillation studies, and 23 to a homogeneous sample of 45 flat spectrum radiosources. In these two samples, the percentage of variable sources is therefore 25% and 51% respectively.
