THE peculiar A-type star 73 Dra has been investigated many times. At La Plata, 73 Dra has been studied as a chromium-europium-strontium star, together with HR 710 and HD 216533, in the course of a series of spectroscopic studies of peculiar A-type stars of different subgroups. It turned out, however, that the spectrum of 73 Dra is atypical in the sense that several of its anomalies are not shared with the two other Cr-Eu-Sr stars analysed, which look more conventional.
