An Occam's Razor approach for reconstructing images of an object is considered, in which supplementary information about the structure of the object is used together with the non-negativity condition. The object is assumed to include a comparatively smooth component and a set of features of arbitrary specified shape and unknown flux. Taking a priori information into account can substantially enhance the quality of the estimate of the object's structure. The calculation algorithm and model examples are presented. A procedure for the conditional solution of inverse problems based on this method is proposed.
