The He 3 / He 4 ratio of primordial He in carbonaceous chondrites varies with the Ne 20 / Ne 22 ratio, according to the relation: He 3 / He 4 = (6.87 ± 0.72) × 10 -5 ( Ne 20 / Ne 22 ) - (4.38 ± 0.76) × 10 -4 . Apparently primordial He, like Ne, consists of at least two distinct components, of He 3 / He 4 = (1.25 ± 0.76) × 10 -4 and (4.20 ± 0.76) × 10 -4 .
