The Q method of photometric spectral classification, which is useful as
a 'quick look' procedure by means of which to derive the spectral types
of normal B stars, is here shown to be equally useful for Be and Be
shell stars with only minor modifications. Attention is given to the
case where only photometric data are available for faint Be stars.
