UBV photometry obtained in August 1980 using the Manastash Ridge 0.8-m telescope, and in June 1981 using the image-tube spectrograph on the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory 1.8-m telescope, is presented for stars in the open cluster Berkeley 82. Fourteen members of this poor cluster have been identified photometrically within the cluster radius of 5 arcmin derived from star counts. From a ZAMS fitting, an E(B-V) mean reddening of 1.01 + or - 0.01 (m.e.) at a distance of 980 + or - 70 pc, is derived. The two brightest likely cluster members, with absolute magnitudes of -2.8 to -2.4, have spectral types of G2 II/Ib and K2 II. The cluster is found to have an evolutionary age of 60-80 million years, and is similar to other comparably aged clusters with Cepheid members.
