Experimental data are presented on the spatial distribution of secondary electrons with energies exceeding 15 MeV and protons with energies exceeding 400 MeV at a height of about 500 km. The data were obtained during 1977-1979 with a Cerenkov counter aboard the Cosmos-900 satellite. A longitude dependence is found to exist on magnetic shells at midlatitudes; the flux of secondary particles on a given L-shell increases with increasing geomagnetic-field induction.
