The anomalously low H I abundance observed in many disk galaxies located in clusters may be associated with more rapid and efficient star formation. This is accelerated by the compression of a gas layer under the pressure of intergalactic gas in the cluster. The dependence of the fluxes in the H I line and in the FIR spectral region on the galaxies of the Virgo and Coma clusters is analyzed.
