Solar radiation measurements made in the 100 micron-10 mm spectral range yield data on the variation of brightness temperature with wavelength and disk position that impose important constraints on models of the solar chromosphere structure. Attention is given to relationships explored to date between absolute radiometry and homogeneous models and between center-to-limb variations and inhomogeneous models. It is noted that a 100-m antenna is able to resolve large scale solar structures in the spectral range considered.
