An autocollimation theodolite was used to study errors due to the fabrication and assembly of components of the shield unit of the RATAN-600 radio telescope. Specifically, attention is given to such errors as the curvature and nonplanarity of the rails on which the shields move radially and the eccentricity and ellipticity of the shield-carriage rollers. It is shown that such errors can be reduced to an acceptable level; in particular, azimuthal errors can be effectively taken into account for wavelengths greater tha 4 mm.
