The general structure of conformal anomalies of the energy-momentum tensor is established. The energy density of zero-mass particles produced in the cosmological-expansion process is calculated in the framework of low-order perturbation theory. Estimates are presented which show that, in the early universe, the energy density of zero-mass particles can significantly exceed the energy density of particles with mass.
