Combined UV and visual quantitative spectral analysis of hot stars is summarized. The photospheres of very hot stars, the HR diagram of massive O stars, the atmospheres of subluminous OB stars, the atmospheres of the central stars of planetary nebulae, and the evolution of central stars of planetary nebulae and subluminous O and B stars were studied.
