The semiannual cyclicity of the wind velocity and of the temperature in the earth's equatorial stratosphere indicates the possible existence of similar oscillations on other planets. A comparison is made of published results of observations of the atmospheric circulation oscillations on Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. The observational data lend support to the hypothesis of the existence of a semiannual cycle in the equatorial belts of planetary atmospheres, with the maximum of the rotational velocity coinciding with the equinoxes.
