An analysis of the spectral evolution of LV Vulpeculae 1968 after the maximum brightness was carried out. The principal conclusions are: 1) The pre-maximum spectrum was replaced by the principal one in less than 24h. 2) The diffuse enhanced spectrum and the Orion one existed already when the nova brightness has decreased only by 0m.4 and 0m.5, respectively. 3) The radial velocities of the Orion spectrum coincided with those of the diffuse enhanced one during the total observational period. 4) The Orion spectrum consists of the lines of He I, N II, O II and may be H I. 5) The appearance of two additional components is probably due to splitting of the principal and diffuse enhanced spectrum.
