Diffuse interstellar band observations toward T Tauri stars at 5778, 5780, and 5797 A have yielded equivalent widths of 150 + or - 30 for 5780 A in Z CMa, 85 + or - 20 in DR Tau, and 45 + or - 25 for DF Tau. The diffuse features in these objects appear to be much weaker than normal with respect to the extinction estimates of Cohen and Kuhi (1979). This is suggested to be due to the modification of the dust grains responsible for the diffuse bands by some mechanism within the dense clouds enveloping the T Tauri stars. The present results, in combination with those of previous investigators for HD 29647, are consistent with the belief that the bulk of T Tauri star extinction is intracloud, rather than circumstellar.
