Δa photometry of HD 126515 shows the extraordinary variability of its continuum depression around 5200 Å. The Δa peculiarity is about 0m.06 over most of the rotation cycle, but drops to about half that value at phase of minimum surface field strength Hs and minimum line blocking. It is argued that the surface region which produces the high peculiarity values is associated with the regions of enhanced spectral line strength, rather than with local field strength.
