A previous investigation of the rotational and tidal perturbations of linear isentropic oscillations of a gaseous star is continued. Basic equations relevant to the structure and the isentropic oscillations of a rotationally and tidally distorted star are recalled, and numerical results determined for various low-order oscillation modes of spherically symmetric polytropic models with indexes n = 3 and n = 4 are presented. Rotational and tidal perturbations of low-order modes in these polytropic models are analyzed. An asymptotic approximation of high-order p-modes in a rotationally and tidally distorted component of a binary system are constructed, and the zeroth, first, and second order approximations are derived. Applications to high-order p-modes belonging to spherical harmonics of degrees 1 = 1 and 1 = 2 are considered.
