The 18 cm OH lines in comets P/Halley 1982i and C/Wilson 1986l were observed with a radio telescope. Time variations of the signal and an attempt to find out periodic variability are discussed. Variation of the line shapes with heliocentric distance and gas production rate are considered. On several occasions, the line shapes are narrow, which puts constraints on both the parent expansion velocity and the OH ejection velocity at photodissociation.
