The author suggests that T Tauri stars can be separated into two groups. The lower-mass late-type stars (group I), which are slow rotators, will arrive on the main-sequence as solar-type stars. Chromospheric activity decreases due to the spin down. The high-mass early spectral type stars (group II), which are fast rotators, will arrive on the main-sequence as A and F dwarfs. Chromospheric activity decreases due to the spin up, that is a consequence of the convection zone decay.
