The authors present deep direct images in B, R, and 5000 Å band colors of the double-nucleus galaxy Mkn 110. They isolate and discuss a linear jet which diverges from the bright nucleus, an elliptical outer shell, and other nonsymmetrical features. The authors present colors and luminosities for these and other features. The galaxy has recently undergone a strong tidal or merging interaction. The authors also present spectroscopy of the nuclei and adjacent regions of the galaxy and jet. The second "nucleus" is a foreground star. Broad emission lines are found in the inner jet, suggesting mass motions of several thousand km s-1. The narrow-line region is extended over the inner galaxy but does not reveal large or complex motions.
