The authors present new radial velocity and velocity dispersion data for the minor axes of seven elliptical galaxies from spectra taken with the ESO 1.5-m telescope. In all cases, with the possible exception of NGC 3557, there is no evidence for minor axis rotation. A constant velocity dispersion along the minor axis appears to be a property quite common to ellipticals and S0's bulges, both from the authors' data and from the literature. From the theoretical models available in the literature, the authors found that the above property is an indication of anisotropy variation in the galaxy velocity field.
