Radiation emissions in the different wavebands from the Cas A supernova remnant are discussed and explained in the light of consistent model calculations. The calculations indicate preshock densities n0 ≅ 5 cm-3 and shock velocities, vs ≡ 5000 km s-1 in the hard X-ray emission region, n0 ≡ 10-50 cm-3 and vs ≅ 1000-4000 km s-1 in the fast moving knots and n0 ≅ 100-300 cm-3 and vs < 500 km s-1 in the quasi stationary flocculi (QSF). A strong magnetic field B0 ≅ (10-5-10-4g) is confirmed in the QSF region. Soft X-rays are created by the reverse shock wave propagating into the circumstellar region and in the accelerated QSF. The intensity of the radio emission produced in the shock fronts by Fermi mechanisms depends on the same parameters. Therefore, a large scale correlation between X-rays, optical and radio emissions is justified while correlations on smaller scales are meaningless, due to the inhomogeneous nature of the interstellar medium.
