The chemical compositions of four field stars, HD 74721, 86986, 109995, and 161817, members of the globular-cluster horizontal branch, were determined from spectrograms with an inverse dispersion of 9 A/mm obtained on the 6-m telescope. To within the accuracy of the method of model atmospheres, the chemical compositions of these stars are the same, and the metal deficit with respect to normal A stars in young open clusters averages Delta log epsilon = -1.50 + or - 0.22.
