Data of CO band strengths for giant stars in galactic globular clusters have been investigated. The results appear compatible with CO abundance following the "second parameter" necessary to account for the observed HB morphology in very-blue metal-intermediate globular clusters. Nevertheless, the contribution of other mechanisms (e.g. stellar rotation, non canonical helium-core mass) cannot be excluded, mainly for the two anomalous blue clusters NGC 288 and M10.
