More than 95% cosmic baryon matter in the universe is in the state of IGM (intergalactic medium), which is compressible fluid governed by the gravity of dark matter. Observations show that the dynamical and thermodynamical states of baryon fluid are far from equilibrium. It has been revealed recently that in nonlinear regime and scale free range the dynamical state of cosmic baryon fluid is similar to fully developed turbulence. Although the IGM turbulence is different from the turbulence of incompressible fluid, the former is irrotional, while the later is rotational, the mass and velocity fields of IGM show the typical statistical features of turbulence, including intermittency, She-Leveque scaling and log-Poisson hierarchy.
