Millimeter and infrared observations have been made of the brightest compact SCUBA 850 micron sources in two MSX infrared-dark clouds (IRDCs). In both sources, IR observations indicate the presence of nearby massive stars. High-resolution BIMA observations indicate that the stars are interacting with the adjacent molecular gas, possibly triggering the collapse of the compact SCUBA sources.
