Spectro-imaging data on S106 and the Orion Bar were obtained in Br gamma, H2 1-0 S(1) and H2 2-1 S(1) at high spectral resolution. Detailed analysis of the band profiles provided information on the dynamics of the atomic and molecular gas surrounding young massive stars. The gas excitation mechanisms were also studied using the H2 line ratio.
