The DRAGON system (Detector of Recoils And Gammas of Nuclear reactions) is located in the ISAC hall at TRIUMF, BC. It is used to study nuclear reactions, namely proton and alpha capture reactions in reverse kinematics, of radioactive nuclei which are of interest in Astrophysics; the most recently study being 21Na(p,gamma)22Mg at several different resonance energies. There are several detectors attached to the separator for detection and beam suppression purposes. A Micro Channel Plate (MCP) detector, which is currently undergoing commissioning work, will be used in tandem with a silicon strip detector to measure a local time of flight. This time of flight will then be used to distinguish between particles of different masses for further beam suppression.
